2005 Southeastern Traditional Championship

With the gracious consent of the Hood family, TBG is continuing the tradition of the Southeastern Traditional Championship. It will be held again in its usual location on Cooter Creek Road outside Elberton, Georgia on May 14 & 15, 2005. This will be the sixteenth consecutive year for this event.

Directions from Elberton: take Hwy. 72 towards Calhoun Falls to Hwy. 79 toward Lincolnton. Turn right onto Hwy. 79 and follow until you see Cooter Creek Road on your left. Signs will be posted at the entrance.

Directions from Washington: take Hwy. 44 out of Washington toward Danburg and on to Chenault. Hwy 44 will dead end into Hwy. 79. Turn left onto 79, cross the Broad River and watch for Cooter Creek Road on your right.

Camping is not available on site but you may camp at Bobby Brown State Park, 800-864-7275. Cabins and RV sites are also available at Lazy L Lodges,706-283-8163: Pine-der-Rosa,800-554-7774 and Shade Tree Cabins,706-283-3306.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for lunch and a BBQ plate for supper.

Classes will be: Men's and Ladies Longbow (wood arrows), Recurve (wood or aluminum arrows) and Primitive (all wood arrows and bows); Seniors, Youth and Carbon Arrow classes will not be divided by gender. All Cubs will receive an award medal.

Adults may compete for $25.00, youth for $10.00 and cubs are free
