August 15 TBG Northern Zone Sausage and Squirrel Roundup

Pine Log WMA, White, GA

We will have our annual small game opener "Sausage & Squirrel Roundup" at Pine Log WMA in White GA. We will be meeting at the Waffle House that is just south/west of I75 on exit #293/Hwy 411 in White at approx 5am, leaving there by 5:45am. We plan on trekking to the sign-in board to get everyone legal then driving back over to the upper entrance to walk in the woods around 6:30 (gates will be closed so this is a walk-in). Always a great time and if the critters don't cooperate we'll have a great place for stumping. Bring your stumping arrows with blunts and some flu-flus in case the hogs are hiding.

TBG Bear Hunt @ Cohutta Wilderness WMA - 10/3-10/4

Directions From Chatsworth:

Take US Hwy. 411 North to Eton; turn right at traffic light and follow Holly Creek Rd. 11.6 miles to check station. From Holly Creek Check station: Continue on Forest Service Rd 68 toward Lake Conasauga Campground. You will come to the tear britches trail that goes to the Conasauga river. The group camping ground which is called the Ball Field is on left across from the trail head also called bald mountain. We will have signs posted at various points.

This is a primitive campsite with a (sometimes) working outhouse, no water, etc. Weather this time of year can be unsteady to say the least so prepare for 20-90 degrees.
