You are here: Home Special TBG Missouri Bowhunt 10/19-23/09!
Here's the lowdown: Hunt is in the northeast part of Missouri (Scotland county), right next to Illinois and right up against Iowa. Nearest town is Memphis, Missouri. Drive time is 12-14 hours from Atlanta. Farm is about 4000 acres of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, clover, CRP, overgrown pasture, ponds and food plots.

This picture is of a B. & C. taken last year (website shows a 184 taken in 1983--big buck genetics evident for a long time), many P.& Y. have been taken.

Robinson Buck

Our VP, Chuck Evans hunted ML season there last year and was so impressed with bucks he saw that he re-booked for this year before he left. This place is twenty minutes from the Lakosky property in southern Iowa made famous in their TV programs---it's big buck country.

Lodge has complete kitchen, outdoor gas BBQ grills, full baths for each bedroom, washer and dryer, satellite TV, internet access, pool table and bar. One of my best friends hunts with the Robinsons every fall and thats how I first met Steve and Malonda when they were visiting with Billy while down here to work the Buck-a-rama. They're good folks who pride themselves on treating their hunters like family. They have owned, farmed and hunted this property for forty years---they know where the deer are throughout the season and crop rotations.

They charge $1150.00 for archery hunts up until October 26 when they change to $1850.00 for their rut hunt---we'll be there through the 23rd so we'll get prime pre-rut conditions (which I prefer to the rut--rut is usually feast or famine with all the bucks keyed on whichever few does are in heat then, pre-rut is when the bucks cover the most ground looking for those does ).

Anyway, Steve and Billy and I had discussed setting aside a hunt for some traditional bowmen and we came up with dates of October 19-23 and a reduced price of $600.00 !

Obviously, with 4000 acres they can accommodate a pretty large group of hunters but we decided to shoot for a dozen total to keep things more personal.

We can also kill turkeys (either sex---great time to get a hen for a wingbone yelper) and those licenses are over-the-counter for $225.00.
Gues that's pretty much it except that we expect it to book up pretty fast and to guarantee a spot we need a 50% deposit. Checks should be made out to Steve Robinson and sent to me at PO box 282, Zebulon, GA 30295. I will record the deposit and notify Steve of the reservation before forwarding him the check. This way we have no overbooks and disappointed hunters.

Contact me as soon as you can if you are interested.
